Hell No.
This was the second stop of my Saturday night club-hopping ventures, and to be honest I had some high hopes for GC because I have not been inside since they had their initial re-opening (where only half of the building was open and all of the alumni girls started to shift over to Scores/Emperors). Right before the shutdown, they had yet another grand re-opening to where the entire building is open once more. They did more renovations and got a new showbar put in, supposedly got a new batch of hotties, and slowly but surely were working their way back to the hotspot that they once before the roof fire occurred… or so that’s what I’ve been hearing.
It took about 30 minutes to drive from our previous stop at NSG to GC, and the parking lot was moderately full (yes, you still have to drive through the dark maze tucked behind the Toyota dealership to find the club). We arrived a little after midnight. Stepping inside sat the door girl who asked for the cover charge of $7 per person. This is the first time since my return to mongering that I’ve seen any of the staff wear a mask. My friend and I paid the $14 and she allowed us through. Just like our previous stop, no mask or hand sanitizer enforcement or anything of the sort, but during our stay, I did see some doormen and possibly the manager wearing masks as well.
At first, I turned right to see if there were any changes done to their regular sports bar/TV room, and it looks like they reverted it back to a regular bar and dining room and removed the smaller stages that they had in there and in the room connected to it. Speaking of which, we walked in the next room over to see what was remodeled and it seemed that they converted it back (yet again) to the private dance area - or as the DJ repeatedly announced “the pink room”. Both rooms were totally empty except for two custies at the bar watching whatever was on the big screen, so then we left that area and headed over to the main showbar room - which in comparison was totally full of people and social distancing was just an urban legend.
