Reach For The Stars
This is the first stop made on a Saturday evening of club-hopping. I was accompanied by a friend who wanted to go out strip clubbing for the first time in over 20 years and asked me to take him out now that his work schedule and dating life allows him to. Since he wasn’t picky at all about where to go and when, I wanted to check out some clubs that I haven’t stepped in for a while. The last time I was in NSG was probably a year or two ago (whenever the last time EastCoaster visited Jacksonville since we were mongering together that afternoon).
Since it’s been so long since I came here even before the COVID shutdown, there was no telling how busy it would be even on a weekend night. We pulled up around 10:30 PM and the parking lot surrounding the building was moderately full all around, but there was plenty of space to park in-between.
I remembered from my last visits that the front desk guy does use a handheld metal detector upon entry, so I reminded my friend to leave any sharp objects among other defenses in the car. Upon entry, we were greeted by the doorman and paid the cover fee of $10 per person. The metal detector was laying on the counter, but he didn’t use it or give us the ‘entry tickets’ they used to hand out to prove that you’ve paid to get in. He just took the money and waved us on in. So... in we went. No hand sanitizer or mask enforcement, no temperature check, no forms to take an oath that you’re not sick, nothing related to the pandemic.
