A new Saturday afternoon fly by...
Dropped in TT late afternoon after 4p since I had observed it was open with all the cars parked. The security guy standing out checked my temperature and ushered me in. When I asked my reading he said 95.5 and told me that the cut off is 100.4.
Entered the club. No charge or ID checked at this hour. Took a while to adjust to the semi-darkness after coming in from a bright day outside. The whole place was decorated with star-shaped mylar balloons. I don't think it was anyone's birthday. It's just a cause for celebration that an Atlanta institution has reopened. Headed to the bar, ordered a drink and checked out the place. Quite dead. There were three dancers in sight. Two at the bar chatting with customers and one in a darkish corner giving a LD to an older gentleman. No dancer on stage which sucked for me. All dancers had masks on and so did the bartenders. None of the customers wore masks. Neither did the manager/owner who was walking around chatting up staff.
Couple of things I picked up from the chatter: the place is open until 3am and people pour in at late hours despite the curfew. They have experienced a 30% decline in traffic since the no-smoking ban in the city. The city is very strict on masks for dancers and staff.
