Visited: Friday Afternoon

Stopped by at about 1:30 on Friday afternoon. The amount of cars in the parking lot looked about the same as before COVID for that day and time. There was a plexiglass shield on the counter inside the door to keep separation between the door girl and customers. She reached around the side of the shield with a non-contact thermometer to scan my forehead temperature, then slid a sign in sheet under the shield and asked me to sign in and log my temperature. I scrawled something illegible for my name and wrote down my temperature. As usual, no cover at that time of day. I usually don’t tip door girls, but given the circumstances, I threw a few buck in her tip jar.

Inside, the physical layout is pretty much the same, except about half the tables have been removed. It looked like some of the barstools were gone too, and there were “reserved” signs at every open bar stool—I don’t know if they were really reserved (they do that at Oasis) or if it was to keep more spacing.

There was the usual light daytime crowd. I took a seat at an open table near the back stage. It looked like the usual daytime crew of dancers, all of whom were wearing masks. After a few minutes, one of the girls sat next to me and gave me the low down. The number of dancers is limited to 20, customers are limited to 90 something—that’s way more than available seating now, so I wonder what they do when they run of tables. I think the COVID rules are no standing, so that might be a problem.
