Post-COVID: Not Perfect, but Worth a Look

Sunday afternoon. Club had been open for a couple of days. $5 cover. Something happened before they checked my id and took the cover charge. Think it was a temp check, but it's a little hazy because I was distracted by the elaborate barrier they had at the door girl station. If I did get a temp check with a forehead scan, I needed to duck down lower than the clear barrier.

The club looked empty. The tables were reduced in number to make the social distance spacing work. It looked like the tables and chairs taken off the floor were stacked back in one of the upsell VIP areas. The one that is at the other end of the club from the entrance. When I arrived there were no girls on the floor. By the time I left there were three, but I was sitting there for a while before any of them were dressed. The management did a good job on keeping customers informed on what was going on. Unlike other clubs, customers could approach the main bar. The club had set several hightops next to the bar with two or three chairs around them, and that is where customers could sit. The bottled beer wasn't too pricey, probably five or six bucks.

There were a few other customers around and one or two waitresses on shift. One of them looked like they were just sitting, so maybe she wasn't a waitress but the other was busy going from customer to customer to check on them. I walked out to a table to catch up on some messages, and decided to give the club about 15 more minutes before I walked out. This was the first time I've seen the main floor walkable where I wasn't dodging tables chairs and wayward people. Eventually a blonde latina dancer did emerge from the dressing room and took the stage. She was a little enhanced, but in a good way and if she was the only dancer on the floor I wanted to see what she was about before I left. Dancing was only on the main stage, which had a strip of tape around the stage where customers were supposed to tip. It was just far enough from the stage to make it awkward to land dollars, so it basically turned into getting close enough to tip without it being a test of skill and not lingering.
