sinclair's Review
Mon Bar is a rural bar and strip club located at Exit 20 on the Autoroute Jean-Lesage, 6.5 kilometers northeast of Saint-Apollinaire. The club is next to a Petro Canada and a truck wash. The bar is open everyday, but the strippers only work Wednesday through Saturday. Mon Bar is more of a watering hole for locals than it is a strip club. Young people come here on the weekends to drink, and most patrons don't pay much attention to the entertainers.
There is never a cover charge. A 24-ounce bottle of beer is $10, and a 12-ounce bottle of beer is $6.25. The club carries Labatt and Budweiser products. A can of soda is $4. Only Pepsi products are carried. Jager Bombs are $8.50.
Upon entering, there is a large island bar straight ahead with a small rectangular stage in the middle. There is a fifteen foot pole on the stage. Along the back wall of the room is the main stage. It has a pole and a runway coming out into the seating area where there is a second pole. I only saw the main stage used once in my two visits. To the left of the main stage is a round glass shower stall for shower shows. There is one pool table on the left side of the room and three video slot machines on the immediate left as you enter the club. The machines were insanely tight. I lost $200 in about thirty minutes. There are large garage doors on the right wall that can be opened to double the size of the club. This additional room has two more pool tables and a dart machine. All seating is either at the bar or at high top tables. There are no regular tables to sit at.
