Why does Garfield hate Mondays so much?
Stopped in to the local spot on whim at around 10pm while out on a Monday night to blow off some steam from a long day back after the weekend. Cover was $10 after doing text offer discount ($15 w/o text). Sat down at a high top table in front of the main stage and ordered a ginger and vodka for myself and a Coors Light for my friend, total cost $3 for drinks. Always have to appreciate drink prices at HBs. My friend ordered food later on, a blt sandwich and a hot dog, which were both complimentary with entry. He said the food was "great all the way around" but knowing him I would not put a great deal of stock in any of his opinions on food but it defiantly looked edible. Ambience was the same as when I was last here in late 2017, except that they possibly removed the red candles on the tables. I have to say the music was rather quiet and, this is not something I would normally say but it could have been a little louder. It was almost like partying in someone's basement in high school and they keep saying to turn down the music so their parents' don't wake up, just kinda did not get a really party atmosphere going with the tunes being so quiet.
There were about 15 girls working that night that ranged in appearance from a 3 to maybe a 6 and diverse group as well in ethnicities and body types. Honestly it was a little disappointing to see the talent. I know it's been said time and time again that this place is going to the dogs but in the 15 years I've been coming here this was the worst line up I have ever seen, even considering that it was a Monday night. Found one girl I liked and tipped her a bit on stage when she first came on. She gave some nice attention at the stage but I told her "not at the moment" when she asked if I wanted a dance after her set. She went back on stage later in the night on one the smaller stages and I got her undivided attention for all 3 songs which was kinda fun. I would have tried a dance or two with her if I had a little bit more money in my pocket but I'm not regretting a missed opportunity in the least. The girls seemed a bit more stand offish than I felt like they were in the past here. Could be changes in management, blow back from the raging culture wars, being in the midst of a pandemic, who knows and I mean who really cares.
HBs is always a fun place if you go in with low expectations and spend your money strategically. If nothing else, you can get drunk for cheap.
