Down to Earth in the Upstate

I have a thing for exploring strip joints out in the middle of nowhere. This place is about the same distance from me as Atlanta in the other direction and has been an occasional "get away" spot for me over the last year when I want to go up into the woods instead of Atlanta.

A few details about the club to get out of the way: cash only, open from 9pm-5am Thursday through Saturday, no alcohol but BYOB - I showed up with some Jim Beam and the door guy said no liquor was allowed but Walmart across the street sells beer and wine 24/7, so I swung by there and got a sixer of Modelo and returned. The cover just went from $10 to $15. I paid through the window and got the metal detector pat-down as soon I stepped in.

The stage is off to the right corner as you step in with a catwalk that goes in from the corner. There are pool tables to the back and a lot of tables and chairs between. The bar is to the left as you enter, but they only serve non-alcoholic drinks. The furnishings are fairly plain (padded chairs and folding tables) and the building itself seems fairly old, which gives the place a down-to-earth vibe I can appreciate. You also don't see someone suffering as a men's room attendant.
