Pleasantly surprised

It’s been a LONG time since I visited a club in Mobile. Sammy’s is long gone, and I wasn’t sure if Diamonds would still be around. I dropped by around 6:00 or 6:30, and the place was just opening up. I chatted with the manager and doorman, who were both very friendly. They suggested a nearby place for supper, so I did that and came back around 8:00. Things were still a little slow, but several girls started showing up by 9:00. I think there were probably 12-15 girls there by the time I left around 10:30.

The dancers were generally very pretty, and as a group they were much better than most clubs I’ve visited lately. Happily, I noted a lot of girls with larger than average breasts, but mostly without the big bellies that predominate at some clubs. This was as good a selection of dancers as I’ve seen in Alabama outside of the Pony in Huntsville.

The club itself is very small. Generally, things are comfortable enough, though the cocktail tables seem incredibly low. There is just one round stage located against the wall opposite a decent bar. Dancers rotated on stage, typically staying two songs. Most would get topless on the second song, though some would keep their tops on until someone tipped. I guess that’s their prerogative, but I view this as a bad sign. If she’s not generous on stage, she won’t be in the VIP either.
