Thursday evening at Tootsies

visited Tootsies on Thursday February 27, 2020 from about 8:30 to 10 pm. It’s easy to find and has a very large free parking lot. The club is about the largest there is but even so appears to occupy only about a quarter of the huge warehouse building and they were offering indoor parking in part of the rest of the building. After being wanded with an overly sensitive wand I entered and paid an $8 cover ($10 on weekends).

Signs say one drink minimum but no waitress, and there were a lot of them, asked if I wanted anything so I didn’t. Entering the very large and high ceilinged club to the left is a bar along the narrow end of the rectangular space. This is followed on the left by the main stage surrounded by a large seating area. To the right are the rest rooms followed by one of the lap dance areas called the Moulin Rouge, followed by the downstairs champagne rooms. Past the main stage is a VIP seating area called Tootsie’s Station with its own bar. Past this is another stage to the left called Vegas whose design is based on Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. In back of this stage on the left is the other lap dance area, called the Candy Shop. At the far end doors lead into Knockers, a sports bar with many huge TV’’s with sports and a number of pool tables. Smoking is allowed and some hookahs were in use, the high ceilings help to mitigate the smoke. There is also a second level above the end of the club where you enter which is accessible for some fee.

The club was not particularly crowded. The area around the main stage was pretty full but almost no one in the Vegas area which didn’t have a dancer performing. Initially the main stage area had a lot of people ordering food but this area somewhat cleared out by the time I left. There were quite a few women customers including groups of several women. There were probably more than 50 dancers but less than 100. The number of dancers was probably not enough early on but improved as the evening wore on. They seemed about 2/3 foreign Latinas and the rest others. They seemed to be a mix of slender small boob types and others with large boobs with little in between. Some were wearing orange wristbands - under 21? Only one pole on the high up main stage was in use, the dancer did 2 songs there and usually did not get nude. She then came down to the strip along the tip rail below the stage and did individual dancing for tips, here they usually did get nude.
