S-L-O-W in afternoons, but some potential.

It has taken me a few visits to presume I had enough data to write a review of BH. This is an old club/building, set on a side street between the almost hip, revitalized main street of downtown Springfield half a block away, and half a block the other way from the police station. Parking is limited – approx 8 spots along alley next to club, otherwise it’s on the street, but usually something within a block or so.

Coming thru the door you are in a curtained vestibule, thru that into a medium size room. To the right, 4 video machines along wall, then entrance into lap dance room (covered with fairly-sheer curtain). Along the left wall is the smallish main stage (seats 8 or so) with pole. Bar in middle rear, wraps around to right hand side (back) room. ‘Back’ side has 2 pool tables, another stage, 3 little VIP booths, and open, short walled area for under 21 dancers to perform, a DJ booth, and men’s room. Men’s room deserves a mention; it’s an all-black bricked funky place. Urinal and toilet immediately on left thru door (that doesn’t lock), another toilet down a short hall, around corner (you get the creepy feeling “I’ve never been in this part of the prison before”.) Sink behind door in, at least has water, soap, and paper towels (if dispenser hasn’t fallen off wall yet).

Stopped in here 2pm or so on MLK day, a Monday. Water was $4, beers 5ish, mixed drinks 5+. Bar food available, none for me, thanks. About 5 PLs here, only 2 dancers visible, 1 a large Hispanic gal that took ‘no, thanks’ well, and a medium skinny good looking brunette – but she was sitting with a regular, then followed him to a VIP booth, not seen again. Chatted with DJ, friendly guy, told me this was record slow, usually have 4 or 5 dancers early pm, gets busier from 4 to 6ish. He said Fri, Sat nights can get cooking, with 10+ dancers, both stages going.
