Sugar 44 day shift has become my favorite Valley club
Sugar 44 has turned into my favorite local club after abandoning HiLiter. I arrived at opening (such a PL) 12:00 to a small parking lot but only mostly dancer's cars in the lot at that time. Entrance to the club is on the same side as the next door McDonalds. Small foyer, no cover before 7PM, no bouncer, no ID check, no pat down. Bar with about 10 chairs is straight ahead, bathrooms are to the right (never a troll and very clean), stage with one pole is to the left, about 4 chairs on either side of the stage for pervert's row that no one ever uses, about twenty small tables around the stage, a row of bench seats on three walls around the stage area. Club is dark coming in from the Phoenix sun but it's fine after your eyes adjust. There are two VIP areas, one behind one of the rows of bench seats in the stage area and more directly across form the bar, most dancers seem to use the stage area VIP. The are also a couple of Champagne rooms in the back of the stage area, I think it's $250 per half hour (not certain).
Daytime shift seem to attract an older clientele and regulars. DJ and dancers recognize their crowd and pick more classic rock or mellower songs, very infrequent or no rap or nasty lyrics. Dancers are very laid back and seem to avoid competition with each other, setting a comfortable vibe. I don't drink alcohol, got a coke for $5 plus $1 to the pleasant waitress. Lady's drinks are $11 but they can buy their own for $3, let me see one lady's drink or one lap dance, I think the dancer and myself would rather the budget be spent on dances. Dances are $10 anywhere on the floor, benches along the two opposite walls are recommended. VIP dances are $20 plus a one time $20 wristband, dancer also has to pay $20 for her first trip of the day to VIP, I recommend paying for hers if it's her first trip of the day, should get you some equity. YMMV in floor and VIP dances, more than half of the dances that I have noticed are going back to VIP but I haven't been there yet because I consider the $10 dances enjoyable, one VIP visit with three dances are the same as 10 floor dances (if you paid for her VIP fee) in my calculation not counting a tip.
Maybe about ten girls dancing during the day, see other reviews that give very good details about the daytime girls. The twin city girls, London and Paris are recommended. London is normally there but I haven't seen Paris lately. Both are young, very pretty and sociable, Lauren is normally there also, very friendly, a little older but I don't see her getting many dances. Occasionally the infamous Mustang is there and she is highly recommended if only for her legendary status in the Valley. My CF and probably HOF ATF is Crowley, give her an audition and see if you agree.
There were only 3 PLs at opening and outnumbered the dancers. Two hours later when I left there was about an equal number and the place looked deserted because everyone was in VIP. Not many PLs are stage tipping, I make sure to at least give $1 to each dancer and it seems to be appreciated and will get you a visit after her set. All of the girls are very friendly and not pushy, never heard "wanna dance" at Sugar 44. Unless you are coming west on Thomas Rd, enter the club parking lot off of 44th St down a narrow alley just North of Thomas Rd just past the bus stop.
