A suprisingly pleasant place -- but not appearance wise!

As other reviews have made clear, by appearances this is a shabby, workout looking place. Most SCs I have visited that look like Showcase (SC) have been very disappointing and sometimes unpleasant. That is simply not true with SC. While the owners are clearly working to pull money out of this place without making any investments, the dancers and the overall vibe make this a fun club. Dances are reasonably priced for the DMV area and while not all the dancers are anywhere near 10 in appearance, most dancer attitudes are 8+. The stage side dollar dances can be impressive and the few dances I've tried have been much better than expected, the dancers seem to be into the dances rather than eager to move on.

The cover ($20 weeknights, $30 weekends and $5 Solo cup charge) are a bit high but since its BYOB, that's it for the club's reach into your pocket. Anything else you spend is for any beer/booze you brought, dancer tips and dances. I'm sure not everyone enjoys this place and it is not for anyone looking for an "upscale Gentlemen's Club" but as for being a very down to earth strip club, it does that quite well.

I do NOT like having to run back out to my vehicle repeatedly to refill my Solo cup, that seems unnecessary. A much better approach would be to allow coolers, etc. Sometimes it's a bit scary going out to the car but I've never had a problem or seen anyone else have a problem. Their seems to always be a uniformed security guard inside the club but he does not monitor the outside premises. If you're parked close or in their adjoining lot, it's not bad unless its very cold or raining. I rarely go on weekends so I've never had to park far away. Has anyone else ever seen problems with vehicles or with owners going back to their cars? If so, I'm not sure I'd still go to SC since I often go alone.
