Visited: Friday Evening

Rather I’ve been in Vegas a number of times over the years but this was the first visit since I’ve started going to strip clubs a few years ago. This visit to Spearmint Rhino was on Friday Jan 3, 2020 from about 9:40 to 11:30 pm. Based on hotel room rates I would say this weekend was in the lull between the madness of New Years Eve in Vegas and the start of the Consumer Electronics Show the next week. I called for pickup at my hotel was quoted a pick up time half an hour after the call and the driver arrived a few minutes after that after fighting some traffic near the hotel. The driver called me a couple of times to tell me his progress. The ride was a kind of party bus but I was the only passenger. About ten minutes to the club, tipped the driver who I thought did quite a good job, went through a rather quick wanding and entered through the VIP entrance with no cover. I was asked if I wanted a table but replied I would rather just walk around. As it was a cold night outside in Vegas I had an overcoat on which I checked at the main entrance after walking through the club. This was not mandatory and no charge and the girl at the room seemed rather surprised when I put a couple of dollars in the tip jar upon retrieving the coat at the end of my visit.

The building is kind of long and narrow with the entrances near the ends of one long side. From the perspective of the main entrance you first walk past some private spaces on the left with one of the two bars on the right. Then you come to the main stage area with a one pole mostly circular stage with 30 or so chairs at the tip rail around it and small tables mostly with two chairs further back. Along the street side were some spaces with privacy curtains drawn around them not sure if anyone was in there or not. Past the area with the main stage there was a second bar along the street side of the building with an area of tabes and chairs across from it. There were two small raised up singe dancer stages at the far end of this area. At the far end of the building are the restrooms which I didn’t use. The timed lap dance area is in the middle of the club in a room behind the wall along the long side away from the street. There must be some areas of the club I didn’t see, for instance this was one the nights, Friday and Saturday, that they have a male stripper show but it was not obvious where that was. The club has a kitchen but I didn’t see anybody eating. The ceilings are low. The main stage area has rotating colored lights but not as many as at some places. The overall light level was rather dark and some more light on the stage would allow a better view of the stage dances. A downside from my point of view was that smoking was allowed although there were only a few customers doing so. There were quite a few waitresses serving drinks but they were not pushy. I had a bottled water, a rather small bottle with a SR label, for $6.

The club was not all that crowded with customers. The building is not all that big and I could imagine it would get hard to move around on a busier night especially the way the tables and chairs were crowded together. A far too large fraction of the tables had reserved signs on them. There were however lots of dancers probably pushing 100 with more dancers than customers. They appeared to be mostly low to mid twenties in age. All were in good shape, no fat ones among them. A range of bust sizes. Only a few had any tats. There was a wide mix of ethnic types. It seemed maybe a third or so was Latina. Some AA’s tended toward lighter skin tones. I talked to dancers who said they were from Colombia, Thailand, one born in Ukraine but raised in the US, among others. Most had good looking breasts although surgical art was in evidence, as of the half dozen I had dances with half had good looking boobs that were nonetheless hard to the touch. Most were pretty aggressive in asking for dances although would take no for an answer. Some would even come up to customers sitting at the tip rail of the main stage which is considered bad form at some clubs. The main stage usually had two dancers doing two song sets with tops dropped in the second song. There was some decent pole work. The pole extended up into a cutout in the low ceiling above the main stage allowing for some scope of pole work. After the main stage the dancers moved to the two small stages.
