2nd time was the charm

Arrived @ 9:00 PM on the Thursday before Christmas. Club is located at the corner of 38th and Chestnut, plenty of free on street parking was available nearby on 38th Street. Don't think that would be the case on weekends. Atlantis is located below ground level. Entrance stairway down is on the Chestnut street side. Lets clarify—it’s not an “underground club”, but Atlantis is under ground, ie below grade. Inside is fairly large, with a T-shaped bar and stage inside it. The long part of the T points toward the entrance. Bathroom is to the left of the entrances. No attendant, but fairly clean, large. Same private dance concept as at the Purple Orchid. 1 larger communal room for $20/dance. Multiple smaller individual rooms at $30 dance. The venue is larger inside than one would expect for a club underground, but with few dancers and patrons, the size of the place seemed to drain what little energy there was. If the club was pretty full, I could see things being lively, but since the very few patrons were scattered around the big bar/stage, and there was MAX one dancer on stage, it was fairly dead.

Cover was $7. There were 10 customers when I arrived, and for the next 10 minutes, there was no dancer on stage, but 5 dancers were busy with the important task of playing on their phones while sitting at the bar By 9:30, only 4 customers remained, and the multiple minute gaps between dancers continued most of the evening.

There were 2 servers, both women over 30. The Hispanic one got me a $5.25 Diet Coke & took tip between her large and rather attractive tits. In fact, before she went off shift at 10:00 PM, she bought me another, which got her a second tip. Always a good idea to take care of the waitstaff.
