So I always have low expectations when I walk into Paper Moon. It's near work and has a few features that draw me in a few times per year. But I'm normally put out by the VERY high lap dance prices and No. Virginia rules. That also tends to come with rude customers and there is a vibe that the girls are catty with each other.
But it was Christmas night and I had to get to work really early so I stopped in at about 10 pm. Paid my $12 cover and was shocked to find 8 girls working with some others coming and going. What was really surprising was to find that I really connected with one of the dancers and can honestly say that another is one of the most beautiful women I've ever talked with.
The normally pushy bar staff was a bit reserved and let me indicated when I wanted more drinks. I don't know if it was the holiday or a new normal but the girls selected their own songs from a machine instead of a DJ pulling them up. The back office guys were nearly invisible instead of ominously hovering around the bar area.
All in all, this was the best visit I've had to Paper Moon. The structure of No Virginia rules and this club are not likely to win me over as a regular. But this visit was actually good and the last couple were not too bad either.
