Very Hit or Miss Place (mostly miss, but this was a good night)

This place, under multiple names, and even more owners, has been a go-to for me for 15 years. It's convenient, and for a long time was consistently great. Not so much now, though tonight was one of the better nights.

I've been here a few times since my last review of the place, but in my previous visits I was only there for a beer, looked around, and decided that watching paint dry would be more likely to get me hard. I stopped by tonight (a Sunday, for crying out loud) on a whim, and my only expectation was to get a bottle or two of Bell's Two-Hearted for a decent price. (And I honestly don't know exactly how much I paid for the Two-Hearted, but I think it was no more expensive than at a "normal" bar. I handed over a 20 and got back a ludicrous amount of singles. Too much counting for me to deal with at the time. I am now back home with, like, a thousand ones that I've pulled out of my pocket. They may have multiplied in there.)

Anyway, when I went in on this visit, there was no one at the usual doorman's station. But there was a dude hanging out by the DJ booth who took a $6 cover, patted me down (and spent an uncomfortably long time checking around my crotch), and slapped a paper bracelet on my wrist. It could have just been some guy who was there with those bracelets, groping dudes crotches, but the rest of the people in the club acted like he worked there so it was probably legit. Probably.
