Better on the inside
Place was jumping at 7:00pm, with top-quality talent of every shape and size. Really surprised, given the fact that this place is in a sketchy row of stores with a shady liquor store next door and doesn't look like much from the outside, by how well-done the interior was and the high level of dancer talent inside. From the outside, the front of the place and the sign makes it look like this is gonna be a crap hole. But it wasn't at all.
Inside, the crowd was pretty diverse, from buttoned-up business types including one group that was clearly spending the expense account, to blue collar guys in t-shirts and hats. Black and white, too, and everyone there was having a good time together. Felt very safe.
$5 cover was easy to handle, walk thru a metal detector and into a high-class place. $6 got me two beers with a pitcher of ice to keep the second one cool. Nice. Liked the choice of seating, too, from stools along the wall to chairs at the stages to seats at the bar. Barstool at the wall was good spot to take it all in, and moved to a stateside seat to engage a little more and find a dance. No dollar hustle or continuous dance asks, but eye contact was enough to get any of the dancers to stop and talk. That's a good balance.
