High alert! Very abnormal security incident!

Ok, please understand this is not so much a review as a high alert of abnormal security activity!

I was at raiders last Friday and entering the club was extremely low key, same as ever, wand down and enter, no problems...

Not so today 10/18/19! Entered. Bouncer was friendly, asked for my ID, this has happened before, no big deal. He then opened a paper three ring binder and started copying my ID down into preprinted blank columns in the binder. He said “they want us to prove we are carding everybody.” Didn’t like that, but they used to scan ID’s so still didn’t think much of it. Then! And then!! He turned the binder toward me and asked me to sign my name on the last cell in the row! I made a scribble. He looked at my ID and said “uh, I need a signature that looks like your ID man”. I said something like “what the fuck dude, I’ve never heard of anything like that?” He sheepishly said “yeah, we have to do that now”. I would have walked away but had told a dancer I would be there at a certain time and didn’t want to bail on her unexpectedly. I make a first letter that looks like my signature and scribbled the rest and he said “ok, that’s it.” Anyway, this bouncer was friendly and apologetic throughout, and I don’t believe in shooting the messenger... but this rocked me and I did not like it at all. I told him if I have to do this again I would not be back. Hope he relays the message. I’m here often and spend a decent amount of money. The kicker is I was at Curves the night before and they did nothing but a glance at my ID and wand down.
