Is there something inappropriate about referring to a former church as ‘Mecca’ and a place that must be visited?

There is a small group of clubs that over the years everyone knows as ‘destination’ clubs. Places that you read about that just stand out from the rest. Follies, Diamond Dolls Pompano, Penthouse Detroit (RIP), Spearmint Rhino Vegas, Baby Dolls Dallas, The Lodge, Tootsies, Mons Venus, Hong Kong, 2001 and some others. St. James or ‘the church’ is one of those clubs.

First, you Texas guys are lucky. Your strip club industry is doing better than a lot of the country, solid mileage is still available, $20 dances are still the norm and you have tons of hot women of multiple types and colors. I always look forward to going to Texas.

I finished a work meeting early afternoon on a Thursday and had an evening flight and made the drive to the church around 430p. I don’t know the exact history but I believe this was formerly a real church that was then turned into the great palace of nudity and grindage it is today. The architecture is still there. It has a large parking lot surrounded by a concrete wall that is tastefully landscaped and the building is well kept. The club has a pool outside and hosts pool parties. After battling rush hour traffic, I also wished I knew ahead of time, but the club has a helipad. I could’ve just flown in! Pro tip: if you show up and there is a copter sitting on the helipad, go somewhere else. Your money will be no good as someone will be inside having a ninety-threesome with all of the girls.
