Basically a night club with very attractive naked girls dancing

I had the opportunity to travel to Atlanta recently, and I decided to check out the local strip club scene so this review should be taken from the perspective of a non-local. First up was The Cheetah based on its proximity to where I was staying, and I ended up going on back-to-back nights (Thursday/Friday). The club is located in what felt like a fairly trafficked part of midtown Atlanta with a good deal of cars and pedestrians around both when I arrived (~9PM) and left (~1AM) so it felt pretty safe. Cover was $12 each night I went.

The club itself is pretty posh, on the level of what you’d get in Vegas. For the main area, it’s basically a long open hall with a bar on each side, two long raised catwalk/stages where girls dance next to each bar, and then a center area with tables for people to get food. At the back, there’s a third stage area, which separates the restaurant and more VIP area where I guess you need to buy a bottle to get access. Some girls spent most of their time in this VIP area drinking with customers who looked to buying bottles. I mostly posted up at the different bar areas since that gave the closest views of the girls on catwalk stages. The atmosphere more resembles a nightclub with strippers than the traditional strip club that I’m used to, and I’m generally not into the club scene so this was a slight negative for me. The closest comp is maybe Scarlett’s in Miami. There had to be 100-150 customers by midnight on both Thursday/Friday with a good mix of couples and large groups of guys in attendance, and it seems like this is the sort of place you can go with friends on a night out and just happen to have naked girls dancing nearby. One thing I did appreciate is that the lighting was good so you could see what was happening and could get a good look at the girls dancing. Last thing about the club is that a mixed drink was $12, and the pours tended to be on the light side from most of the bar tenders.

In terms of girls, there were probably at least 50 if not more each night by 11PM. This is definitely a 7-Up club with most girls being very attractive, although they all have pretty similar body types (i.e. thinner, taller, “model” bodies/faces). There aren’t many if any fatties. It was probably 60% white, 25% Latina, and the rest black when I was there. I don’t recall seeing any Asians either night I went. In terms of the dancing, it’s basic at best. There aren’t any poles on the catwalk/stages and girls don’t do much floorwork either so don’t expect much beyond the girls swaying and swinging their arms back and forth. There are usually 4-5 girls are on each of the different stages in various states of dress, and they’ll change positions so that everyone gets a chance to see them. One thing I didn’t realize until much later the first night after a bartender explained the system is that the girls won’t take off their tops/bottoms unless they get tipped. Collective $5 gets their tops off while $10 gets their bottoms off. If you’re really into a girl and want to see her fully naked for the entire time she’s up on stage (usually 3-4 songs), you can give her $10 right away and she’ll be naked the entire time she’s dancing. It’ll also usually a way to guarantee that she’ll come down to chat afterwards. You can also kind of tell who’s the more popular girls in the club by who’s fully naked on stage and the amount of money they have wrapped around their leg since they keep all of their tips in a rubber band on their garter (guess they can’t have purses).
