The Only Downtown Club I'd Go Back To

There are three clubs in this part of downtown within a couple of blocks of each other, Club Downtown, Wandas, and this place.

Chez Paree was easily the spot where I had the most fun in the actual downtown area. This club was a ground level bar that kind of looked like a diner-ish restaurant with a huge stripper stage in the middle of it. It sounds a little stupid, but it was kind of mashup like someone dropped a Five Guys into the middle of a night club. I got waved in without paying other than a tip after being shown to a table. Considering it was after 2 in the morning, the club was surprisingly busy and had more of a party atmosphere than the other two clubs.

Two of the customers got the Canadian-style tip treatment where they laid down on stage with a bill in their mouth and the dancer removed it with some flair. One guy got the bill snatched out with a well done Stevie and the other mouth to mouth. I only tried that at Body Shots (nowhere near Montreal and now closed) and she got that dollar in about the dirtiest way possible, so I was good to watch without participating.
