Must have been too early

After a disappointing trip to Sirens I tried my luck with Columbus Gold. It also is a nice big club located near a shopping outlet. I parked right in front of the doors and walked in. There seem to be a good number of cars around. I stood at the desk in the pre entry area preparing to show my free pass but nobody was working there. It was 5:30PM and the club apparently opens at noon. I heard a loud scream to just come into the main doors. I walked in and the place was empty. No cover obviously. The bartender was at the bar and checked my ID. I looked around the bar and 3 other guys were there. The club is pretty much one big room with 2 areas sectioned off. The first sectioned off area is near the bar and is where lap dances take place. Not the most private area as you can see outline of everyone in the room through the walls. Also 2 large door holes are always open and can be seen from certain areas of the right through at certain areas of the bars. The other sectioned off area is just a slight elevation with steps and is additional seating and TVs. The place has a lot of TVs all around the room on sports channels. Tons of small tables and chairs around the room. Stage on opposite side of entrance with 2 poles. Another small stage on opposite side with pole.

Order a domestic beer ($3). Asked the bartender if I was too early and she said no, she isn’t sure why more girls aren’t here. She said 3 are getting ready in the back. I waited about 10 minutes and a girl came out and sat with a customer. Waited 20 more minutes and 2 more girls came out but set with other customers who were their regulars. After waiting about 10 more minutes I decided I would check out the club next door until more girls arrived or until they put a girl on stage. So I left and went to Vanity (review to follow). Spent about 30 minutes there and went back to the CG. Somehow there was now only 1 girl around in the public area and she was giving a guy a lap dance. I ordered another beer and waited about 15 minutes and decided to call it a loss. The girls were offering $10 topless dances on this night but not enough girls showed up to work. Not sure what normal price but I saw on Thursday the special is 3 dances for $100. That is a huge difference. So on a night when there is no special, dances must be about $40. No wonder girls aren’t showing up early to do $10 dances. The bartender said later it would be more girls but I had to hit the road as I had a 3 hour drive to get back home. She offered me a free pass to come back in but I don’t think I will ever be back in town to come back at night.
