Uninspiring, but possibly worth another visit

I stopped by the Hip Hugger on a Wednesday as a pit stop on a fairly long drive. I arrived around 5pm. The club was in a light industrial / retail neighborhood and tucked off the main road. There was lots of parking available. The inside was a bit nicer than I expected from the modest outside, not run down or sketchy.

I wasn't charged any cover on entry, and no one was checking ids. The club is a single, decently sized rectangle. Left of the door is a space with a pool table and a small bar (dark and unoccupied when I was there). To the right is a medium sized stage raised slightly from the floor. Across from the stage is the main bar. The room extends further to the right where a slightly darker area is used for lap dances. My Coke cost $3.

The entire space has small tables with black metal, padded chairs. There's pretty good visibility to the stage from most of the room. There was no DJ. The dancers selected songs to play from a machine next to the stage. This had several nice side effects. The variety of music was greater than many clubs I've been to, as some of the dancers picked songs that weren't the same ones you hear over and over at strip clubs. This also meant the songs were full length rather than truncated, which drove up the lap dance value. And the breaks between songs were really clear, so there was no problem with them running together and losing track of the count.
