Why does this place always smell like piss?

I visited The BT twice over a two week period. My experiences were different both times, but the one constant is that the place smelled like piss - especially in the area of the upper bar. I don’t know what it is, I’m really hoping it’s moldy carpet or a bad drain, or something like that, but it really reeked. So bad that I just couldn’t stand at the bar. And like a bad song, once I got the piss smell in my head, I couldn’t not smell it.

I arrived around 8 pm on a Thursday. The fenced parking was nearly full. I may have gotten the last space in the non-valet area. I paid the lot troll $1 and walked across the plywood entry into the club.

Upon entering, I was met in the entry vestibule by a young man in a shiny suit with an earpiece who acted like we were long lost friends. He offered to comp my meal (I politely declined) and he told me there was no cover. Not sure if this is their MO for nicely dressed middle aged white guys, or if he had mistaken me for someone he knew.
