A bar that has strippers
I was in Pennsylvania visiting family for a few days and decided to stop into Double Visions because it was close to where I was staying. This club is located in the suburbs right outside of Philadelphia. I arrived last Friday around 9:15 pm and there was no cover charge. Shocking, but a pleasant surprise.
Double Visions is more of a bar that has strippers.....than a strip club. This is a very low pressure place. The doorman quickly checked my ID and let me in without any hassle. There was also no pat down. This club is dominated by the bar. It takes up a big portion of the club and the strippers dance behind the bar which is a first to me. There are two stages and in between the stages they have this metal hula hoop looking pole.
At this club, you can't really tip the strippers while they're on stage UNLESS you throw the dollar onto the stage. Even if you do that, you run the risk of the dollar falling short of the stage and landing behind the bar. From what I've observed, the vast majority of customers don't tip the strippers while they're on stage dancing. Instead, the strippers dance for 2 songs each and then they walk around the bar (topless) and ask each customer who is sitting at the bar for tips. I've never seen this before. I'm assuming this is called a "tip parade" but I'm not 100% positive. Of course you don't HAVE to tip the girls, but it sort of puts pressure on you to tip them. I don't tip every single stripper who goes on stage, so I'm not a big fan of this system. With all that said, this is just a minor annoyance and if you sit away from the stage, the pressure to tip is not as great.
