Why did I bother?

I made a rare evening visit to the Block. I usually go when I get off work in the afternoon. I must have gone out of habit because there is no other compelling reason to visit this dump. The physical layout hasn't changed in years. Seems bigger (wider) than most clubs on the Block and that draws attention to how empty it is.

I saw four dancers working, working the customers that is. I guess might have danced while I was there but it certainly wasn't memorable. All four had (presumably) seen better days -- haggard, either overweight or dope sick thin, and not at all appealing. The only one I recognized was Nina, who may have been attractive at one point in the distant past.

There was one good thing about this visit. "Miss" Sue the bartender wasn't there.
