A quiet Monday afternoon
Walking around Portland and it was starting to snow. I was tired and cold, and happened across Mary's Club. Went in basically just for warmth. Bartender was friendly enough, and a coke was $2-3. The club is pretty small, but nice enough - looks like it has some tiki influences, big paintings on the wall, etc.
Only 2 girls in there that afternoon - Foxy and Nadia, i think. Foxy was on stage when I came in, with a couple people at the bar kind of ignoring her. A little thick, but nice enough and friendly. She had Zeppelin playing on the jukebox, but finished up right as I got there. Nadia came on stage, and they asked us if anyone would donate for music - they had to feed the jukebox. I gave a dollar, another guy gave a dollar, and they were happy. Nadia turned out to have excellent taste in music, which was cool. Kind of odd breasts, but they were nice. Decent dancing, a fair amount of attention at the rail. After 3 songs, she took her leave, and Foxy was eating lunch (they have an excellent taco bar attached to the club). I was warm enough and decided to head back out.
Decent, friendly, super divey. Better dancers for a Monday afternoon in a dive bar than you should expect, but not a huge amount more than that.
