Don't Go Here. But Since I Did, Here's a Review.

This place is a locals only spot in the middle of a town that might as well be the middle of nowhere. The streets aren’t really lit that well, and I drove past the pub the first time and had to double back to check it that was actually the club. It looks like a small town bar from the outside, and you don’t realize it’s anything else until you’re well inside and get into the back. Sometimes you see “pub” and you think it’s just the name, and then you see Karina’s Pub and realize it is in fact a pub that possibly has strippers. The bar area was divey but seemed clean. But that comes later. After parking I almost didn't go in because there were a couple of guys on the porch who looked like they might have been angling for trouble. But I’m ‘merican so weren’t no locals going to keep me from seeing tits and ass.

So yeah the club had a porch who looked like things could have gone one way, but the guys it turned out seemed actually pretty cool. Except for the part where they were like “yeah, there's a girl in there”...and when I take a look and went to leave they decided to add “girl’s not your type, huh? Didn't do it for you?” She was sitting in the same room and the bar’s not that big, so now I’m feeling like an asshole because these Canadian rednecks (is that an actual thing?) are talking shit about her like she isn’t even there. Why do you guys have to be that way? There’s no reason to talk this bullshit noise to bust a dancer’s balls like that just because she’s trying to earn a living. I’d driven a long fucking way, so why not stay? Maybe try it dance? So that’s what I do.

Michelle was the dancer. She was an older black dancer. I didn’t see that many black dancers around Montreal, and was kind of surprised she was at what I’d have guessed was the Canadian version of a backwoods country bar. She has a nice personality, but definitely a little past her prime. Maybe a lot past her prime. Heavy set but you could tell that she kept herself dolled up and well maintained. Got one dance from her just to kind of see what was going on with the dance area. She's probably about the same weight that I am but she is light as a feather on my lap. Thing about it is can't just write a dancer off because she may not look the way you wanted to look. Sometimes you just got to give it a go and she was nice. The dance area was separated from the rest of the club section by a little pull curtain, and the chair was very basic and uncomfortable. If she had grinded with all of her weight it wouldn’t have worked that well, but for what it was it was nice straight up lapper and I kept the set simple from my side of things.
