Club is Still Good, But Having Issues

The last time I wrote about Mens Club I said Sugar's was better. Sugar's was having an especially good run at the time, but all in all I would still prefer the business model at Mens Club if they could settle whatever it is they're doing with the upstairs. It's different every time I'm there (layout, sight lines, lighting, etc), and gotten to the point where I would probably ask for a walkthrough before I committed to buying the half hour or an hour up there.

Lower level booths are not longer booths, really, and everything faces the main floor now. There is still exactly one spot on the lower level where it looks like a decent set of dances can be had. You'll know it when you can vaguely see a guy sitting there in the shadows past the lapdance area. You can barely tell there's a person there, but you'll most likely always see a person there because regulars camp out there like it's movie premiere week at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Overall the place still presents well and seems upscale. They've started using the detached runway stage more often, but it's still better off where it used to be as a "T" connected to the main stage. Last time I was there I dropped in on a night shift to see how the talent was. It was decent, but not enough of an upgrade over the dayshift to where I'd redo my club schedule. At least from what I saw in the early evening. Most of top night talent doesn't stroll in until around 10 o'clock at night around town.

The key to this club is communication. Each girl is going to vary in their entertaining style and prices. Something to keep in mind is that the managers in all strip clubs, and particularly the ones that present themselves as upscale, have a huge effect on your time at the club. This club out of all the ones in town I've noticed has the most active managers on the floor and interacting with girls and customers. When the manager is cool that can work, but at least one of them does not fall into that category.The drink prices here are still decent, and comparable to what you'd find elsewhere around town. A decent mixed drink or beer will run you about $5, and better mixed drinks are closer to $10 or more. There was a slim blonde dancer who seemed like fun, but also madder than a hatter when I talked to her for about 5 minutes. Lots of personal stuff overshared. Walked out on my last visit without getting any dances at all.
