Friday Afternoon

I had a free weekend and decided to do a mini strip club binge - three clubs in two days. The 19th Hole was my first stop. I had been here once before and left unimpressed. I have now upgraded my rating to OK but still not overly impressed.

The appearance of the club as you drive up is that of a very large older home on a corner lot with a large parking lot in the middle of an older well-established working class neighborhood. It’s not the sort of neighborhood that you would expect to find a strip club, but that’s where it is.

I arrived on a Friday afternoon just before 1:00 to find about three customers and no dancers. I asked for a bottle of water ($3.50) and was told the dancers would be right out. After about 10 minutes the first dancer came out, followed shortly thereafter by another, then another, and so on at about 5-15 minute intervals. By the time I left there were about six dancers, all AA except one. Without exception they were of average looks in the face and bodies tended to the thick but not fat side. On my rating scale they were all 5-6’s. They did two-dance sets (topless) and then circulated the outside of the bar for tips. (I should mention the bar is typical of the Philly area, rectangular surrounding a low stage. There is no interaction with the dancers until the tip walk after the dances.) All dancers seemed to have pleasant personalities and and asked about but did not pressure for lap dances. The music was eclectic but not ear-splitting loud.
