Went looking for fun, left bored

Well, I knew I was pushing my luck going out in this small town at 11:30 on a Sunday, but figured I’d try it, anyways! I went with a good looking female friend, and we were enthusiastic to see a good amount of cars in the parking lot and a good number of dancers inside. That said, the dancers were just clinging to each other or their Sunday night regulars and were very much not working the room. We stayed as long as we could. Only one girl talked to us, and wasn’t playful enough to keep our interests. We didn’t see much talent or skill in the onstage sets, either. We gave up after thirty minutes and went to the Pony and had a better time there!
