You Don't Go for the Facilities

Tuxedo's is an interesting place. Whether you like your visit to Tuxedo's or not will almost always 100% depend on if you click and and have a good time with a dancer(s). The facilities and owners are, let us say, much less than average. The staff tries hard but quite frankly they don't get paid very well so some of them just don't want to be there.

Tuxedo's itself is located in an industrial looking (metal side/roof) building located on a side street just off of 53rd Avenue (a busy street with lots of shops and restaurants) just a block off of highway 61 (Brady Street/Welcome Way) just as you enter Davenport from the north (I-80). Thus it is relatively easy to get to (not quite as easy as Daisy Dooks which is basically at a truck stop). However Tuxedo's is on a hill with a very sharp/steep driveway up to it and that driveway is falling apart (potholes, etc.) that never gets fixed correctly. If it is every icy good luck getting in or out. All the cars on the south side are junkers there for the dog training. Staff park in front.

Tuxedo's used to be a much larger club in the old days (and originally relocated from downtown Davenport 20 some years ago). Now days the front part of the building is the club and the back half of the building is (true, swear to all that is holy) a dog kennel. You will see in a lot of the reviews that they place can sometimes reek (this is why, plus their plumbing problems). The owner of Tuxedo's also trains dogs for security/police forces (though not sure how successful this business is). The owner is getting ready to retire and does not spend ANY money on fixing up the club. The couches in the private dance area are all busted up. Only count on half of the stalls/urinals in the bathrooms (men or women) to work. They did invest in some decent flat screen TV's but some of the show selections are questionable (you would expect the latest sporting events to be on but they aren't necessarily but you can ask the doorman to switch the channels).
