Dislike Cover Charge
Normally the first floor is open but on this night only the second floor was doing business. This floor is a has been refurbished with nice carpeting and chairs but it set up has some major problems. There are two tiny stages and I mean tiny. There is no pole, the stage, if you can call is that, is hardly two or three inches off the floor. So all the dancer has room to do is wiggle a little bit.
The stage at the back end was the only one being used. But the major problem with layout was that there were only a few ways to see the stage. The bar was directly across from the stage and had giant TV screens showing a football game. Thus no one was looking at the dancer. And even if the bar patrons wanted to, the chairs were couldn’t have been designed worse to let this happen. They were not swivel chairs and too heavy and cramped together to be easily turned around to face the stage.
There were a couple of tables to the side of the stage, but the couches faced away from the stage. You could sit in chairs and face the stage, but that set up was only for a group.
