Well.... didn't expect that.
I ended up here after driving over to Carnival Bookstore because I don't read information properly and missed that they don't have dancers on a Sunday. That's a $5 bridge toll I'll never get back, lol.
Anyway - this place had been on my radar for a while after reading some interesting reviews. Headed there at around 4.30 on a Sunday, found parking on a street close by. Admittedly doesn't seem like the best area but I didn't feel unsafe, and didn't worry about my car. The building is on a corner and the entrance was the door furthest from the corner on the right hand side. There was a group of folks hanging around eating / chatting / grilling and one of the guys took the money to enter. I was the only white guy in the place, but for me it was a complete non issue. Spoke to quite a few guys while I was in there and we were just all guys killing time on a Sunday afternoon.
Inside, the place has definitely seen better days but I wasn't there for interior design inspiration, I was there for some fun and I definitely found it. I got a drink at the bar, which I think was a dollar for a soda. I found a seat towards the end of the bar near the corner of the building and the sealed off door. Not the very end seat as I know that is for those special dances.
