This club is a total roll of the dice, sometimes its great, other times, it's mediocre.
Was in SF for business and decided to spend a few hours at the crazy horse. It's conveniently located near union square. It's just a few blocks away, and though the immediate area around the club is a bit seedier than union square, I had no safety concerns.
Cover was a bit more other clubs, and it has no alcohol. There are several drink vending machines right at the back of the main theater where the stages are. Club layout is like a movie theater with a stage in the middle. There are also several smaller lap dance areas on the right side of the club. A large lap dance room with couches, and then there are also private booths on the other side of the club away from the stage.
You pretty much have two options when you're in the main room. You can seat in the seats directly around the stage and tip the dancer, which, with most dancers, gets you a quick mini lap dance in your seat. Or, you can seat in any of the other seats, and dancers will generally and politely stop by and see if you want a private dance. Unless your regular, they keep the convo to a minimum if you don't want a dance. Still, all the dancers that have approached me have always been very polite.
