Uninspiring

GGR seems to have a reputation for being one of the better value clubs around, and the reviews seemed to indicate it was high mileage, so on a recent trip to the NJ/NY area - I decided to check it out.

I have to say I wasn't wowed at all. The club is just so small and plain looking that right when you walk in, you get the sense you're in a low-energy dive. Maybe I'm a bit spoiled from spending time in Vegas clubs but then again a lot of other clubs I've visited (including Rick' Cabaret right in NYC) have a rather nice, standard SC setup. This place seems like a non-descript bar that got turned into a SC.

The "take a number" system has been written about extensively. I used it, and at least on this night didn't have to wait long to get a dance. I got a dance from Cassandra. It was fine, mileage good, but really nothing special. Again, the vibe and the room where you get dances in is just so "meh" that it's hard to really feel like this place offers a top-shelf experience. The area is also so towny and there's nothing nearby in case you want to grab a beer beforehand since this is a juice bar. Again, Vegas may have spoiled me there again, but another downside for me.
