“My movement...is so slow...it’s imperceptible.”

The club was easy to find. Had plenty of parking on a Friday day shift. No cover. The club was nice on the inside. It was actually the nicest of the 5 clubs I saw in Phoenix. Bourbon Street was a close second, but more for its vibe than the decor. This club was a little small for a Scores, but not tiny. First things first, I don’t like the Scores brand. I like it a little more than Deja Vu, but not by much. And there are some isolated DV’s that are awesome. The only Scores I can remember actually liking as a strip club was the one in Vegas, and that’s because everything is overpriced in Vegas so it fits right in.

So if this review is going to lead in with a paragraph on how much I don’t like Scores, why was I here? I’d just dropped a couple of hours and some hundreds at HiLiter, and this was the nearest club when I decided to put some leftover time to good use. The idea worked out except for the “good use” part. The stage was off to the left when entering the club, and it was nice. Placed high and roomy, so there was good visibility from just about anywhere on the floor. Two poles. The high stage along the wall reminded me of the Palace club in San Antonio. That’s another club which looks great but generally sucks ass. There was no one manning the door and as already mentioned no cover charge, but I’ll get to the money part in a moment.

I saw about 3 or 4 girls on the floor as I walk in, including the dancer on stage. The girl on stage was cute and looked to have a nice body under a tied off shirt and skirt. The shirt didn’t come off, even though there was a guy tipping at the stage. Not promising. It was also a little jarring because the DJ was on his game and making the club sound really good, even if the vibe on the floor was slowed to a crawl. I sat by the satellite stage back over by the DJ. When will I ever learn? Scores es muy malo. The most interesting thing I saw was a life size Yoda mounted to the wall in the far corner past the stage.
