Not what I remember
Standard $20 entry fee on a Thursday night. I used to frequent Treasures because it was a cool place to sit and watch dancers and sip on an overpriced beer. The atmosphere is still the same, it's your typical dimly lit club. Some of the furniture is starting to show it's age and needs some attention.
The music is fine, not too loud, and there are several stages to view. My main turn off is the girls themselves. Not their appearance, there are some real lookers there, and something for anyone in my opinion. The problem is when you walk in they swoop in on you like vultures. I mean that has always been the case somewhat, but these days it is downright obnoxious. I like to take my time to warm up, have a few drinks, and build a conversation with a girl slowly. These girls appear out of thin air, and if you don't commit to a dance or the VIP upstairs they split without hesitation. Oh and they push the VIP relentlessly. If you offer to buy them a drink which will set you back $10 - $15, they will sit long enough to get the drink, and again - if you don't commit to a dance or the VIP they will thank you for the drink and disappear.
As for the VIP. You'll be asked to buy a $125 dollar bottle of champagne you could buy at the store for $20 to go upstairs. The dancer will pressure you to tip the bouncer - this is so he will disappear. Then she will proposition you for a trick. This always makes me very nervous. I mean how stupid would you be to have a sexual encounter in an open club in public even if there is nobody around for a few minutes? That is just asking for trouble in my opinion.
