Rare Monday night outing
I got back from a business trip to Dallas and hit up Centerfolds on a quiet Monday night. The parking lot was nearly empty, and the vibe felt dead. The cover charge was $12, and a premium vodka now costs $10—up from $4 before 9 PM under old management (now $7). New management’s sprucing things up with faux candles and table mantels, trying to clean up the atmosphere and move away from the weed-heavy patio crowd they’ve cracked down on.
The layout’s the same: main stage right as you walk in, bar to the left, semi-public couch dances downstairs, and a $150 “VIO” section upstairs for privacy. Extras are hit-or-miss, with one quote as high as $700. I spotted my regular dancer at the bar—small, African American, firm build, solid but repetitive dance style. The dancers were a mix of African American, White, and Cuban. Did four dances with her before heading out for work the next day.
The club still feels rough around the edges, but management’s clearly trying to steer it in a better direction.
