Hidden in plane sight

So, I found myself finishing up early on a job in Elgin I had a few weeks ago and decided to drop by Blackjacks, a singular building in an isolated part of south Elgin. Upon entering on a Wednesday afternoon, it took several moments for my eyes to adjust to the dark and purple neon lighting and pay my $5 cover. To the left when you first enter is the private dancing booths and to the right is the main stage area. A host brought me in and sat me at a table close to stage. Behind the tables, there’s multiple booths for larger parties.

There were a few men and women up at the bar area eating and laughing, and the overall audience seemed subdued and relaxed, at least in their mid-40’s/50’s. On average, the whole establishment seemed pretty well kept and clean. The DJ was fucking annoying as hell, but then most of those guys are.

The girls were a mix of some young suburban cuties on their way up in the world and more mature ladies in their late 30’s to 40’s who had been at this game for a while. They had a nice mix of white girls, Hispanic, and a couple Eastern European, I believe. No black girls the day I was in. As I watched the featured dancer onstage, I had 3 girls of various age and ethnicity sit with me and make small-talk, all the while asking if I wanted a dance. Once an hour, the club will bring all the girls on stage and parade them for the 2 for 1 dance special. I finally settle on a cute little blonde with short hair and she walked me back to the private area before we settled into an enclosed seating area. You’ll have the choice of a $30 topless or $50 full nude. I’m telling you guys, start at full nude. After the dance was over this girl had her hand halfway in my pants asking if I wanted more. Overall, a great private dance.

I already mentioned the $30 & $50 dance options, so I’ll talk more about the rest. I think the day I was in there they were offering $2 hamburgers. Unfortunately they don’t serve booze and the drinks are all 4.50 and up. I liked coming during the day because the cover was only $5, but I can see that for an out-of-Towner who stumbles across this place on a weekend night, paying $15 to for nd out you can’t drink inside could be a potential letdown.

Blackjacks is not the kind of strip club you’re going to find anywhere in Vegas, or even the city of Chicago. But what I like about it is that there is more time to sit and lounge and just take the girls in as opposed to getting crazy-drunk and partying like a teenager. The girls are all respectful for the most part and I never felt threatened by any of the men. I intend to stop back in the next time I find myself in Elgin.
