Was driving through Paterson in the afternoon with time to kill
Was driving through Paterson in the afternoon with time to kill, so I stopped by. I parked on the street, which didn't seem to be a problem.
The bar was actually fuller than I was expecting: about four or five customers and about the same number of dancers. There was some sort of buffet, which I think was free, but I did not try it, since I was told it was "some kind of pasta". The bartender was busy when I got in so somebody I assume was the manager served me. He seemed nice enough. The place had a vibe of being full of people who know each other and go regularly. It was not unfriendly, but nobody jumped up to welcome me, either.
The customers were mainly larger and older men, about equally white, black, and Latino. The dancers were about the same. That is, most of them were larger (although not fat, like the customers.) Which is to say, they were fleshly and thick. Some could have been better toned, or perhaps should have gone to the gym more, but I found them relatively attractive, but not to die for. They were all Latina or black, I think.
