Club entertainment change and a Royal pile of ash

First, the new club name is Club Royal, no e at the end. The new sign is rainbow color spots with the name in the middle. So you can probably guess where this is going. On the road sign it has read "drag shows, thu, fri, sat. In addition to go-go dancers. I noticed that on my prior review, but I was waiting to see if it was a weekend gimmick to bring diverse clientele in or a permanent change. It appears to be permanent as it reads that way still in July (prior drive by review was March). Drink prices advertised appear to be more client friendly.

However, none of this matters now as I drove by on Wednesday leaving my luxurious room and board to work for a company down the street and saw the building engulfed in flames. Thursday drive by there is a shell of a building left sporting a new charcoal black color. The building is a total loss and will have to be leveled. Club will be closed for a very long time, likely for good. It never did well and was riddled with gang violence and other LE issues. I will be shocked if they don't take insurance money and walk. The land will draw a high premium and $$$ the club could never match. It would take the better part of a year to rebuild and I just don't see this place coming back.

Club Royal is closed and now nothing more than a club Royal pile of ash.
