Faux Glamour
It's not a dive by any means. They put money into it and it shows. Mostly. But, it's not a very chill vibe in there, even when it's slow. It's loud and impersonal. Dark and dated. The club is like a lot of its dancers; it's about ten years past its prime, its glamour is faded and you can tell it's just there for the money. It's got a mob feeling about it with the bouncers in their tuxes and the atmospheric pretense that it's an actual nightclub.
The dancers are old pros but you won't find many of them putting on the come hither show. It's often just business. "Want a dance?" and moving on. There are always exceptions, but that's the general vibe for the talent here. Plus, most of the ladies that night were stuffed full of implants, which I'm not attracted to. If that's your thing, it's here for you. Some pretty faces, but no one really seemed eager to be there on a Tuesday night.
It's an expensive place to be, even for NYC. I did have some fun in the champagne room, but it was exorbitant and I don't recommend it to anyone who's curiosity is outvoting his wallet. You can find a better deal somewhere else.
