Visited: Tuesday Evening

I was back in Vegas and trying out various clubs, and thought I'd give Showgirls another try. My last visit had been decent, though it hadn't blown me away. This time I went on a Tuesday evening, and that made a positive difference. I started with a call to get a ride. The driver showed up pretty quickly, and was dropping people off for both Showgirls and Little Darlings. He said that you can go between the clubs at no cost, and suggested to the small group in the limo that they start at Showgirls where there is no cover, and there is alcohol, and then head over to Little Darlings if they want (skipping the usual $15 cover by traveling between clubs). I got out at Showgirls and, as expected, there wasn't any cover charge at all.

The place was a little busier than my last visit (a Wednesday evening). I don't know if it was the drink special or just happenstance, but there were more patrons (though with still plenty of places to sit) and definitely more dancers. There was an exceptional variety of dancers. The first three I saw on stage were all black, and then there were white, latina, and asian. There weren't tons of dancers like I've seen at Palomino and Sapphire, but a pretty decent number. Nearly all were natural (other than tattoos). They weren't all stunning, but they all looked fine on stage.

On Tuesdays they run a drink special where everything is $2 all night. I don't drink a lot, so I was mostly hoping this would draw other people in the middle of the week, and thus more dancers. That seemed to be the case. The other advantage of this special, which I hadn't anticipated, is that the drinks required for the VIP dances were also just $2. I get irritated at the drink requirements at clubs. I try to think of it as just an extra expense but it's a significant expense, and it's difficult sometimes to not feel like I'm just wasting money on something I'm not going to drink. At some clubs, particularly in Vegas, these extra fees are really high. At Sapphire, I remember it was at least $30 for their two-drink minimum for even a 3/$100 group VIP dance. I end up just getting floor dances, though I prefer the privacy of a VIP area.
