Playing With Dolls. (Well... A Doll.)
To get a good start on our Saturday evening club adventuring, my friend and I decided to start the night off with Thee Dollhouse - primarily because it was literally across the street from our hotel. We didn’t even both driving since I planned on focusing on cocktails tonight as opposed to wine, so the plan was to walk on over to TDH, go back to the hotel to pick up the car, and then find the rest of the clubs that we want to stop at.
Because we walked, once again, we didn’t have to deal with the mandatory valet parking. They have a sign right by the driveway that regular parking is $5, but they also have their own garage for ‘VIP parking’, which costs $10. The extra cost seems to be more for the convenience than the luxury and bragging rights, but I did happen to notice a line of two or three higher end cars waiting to get in the garage. It didn’t look like we had to stop outside the front door because all of the doormen were assisting people with parking their cars.
We go inside, and there is a peppy door girl and bouncer chatting amongst each other before they see us step up, and she asks for $10 for each of us as a cover charge. As we’re paying, I glance over to my left to see a short line of waitresses simply standing aside the wall and chatting, but once we get the OK to go on further inside the club, they all greet us as we stride on by.
