almost exactly the wrong time to stop in

I stopped in to Sensations after work to check it out - I hadn't been in before but had seen it and was curious. Unfortunately (or maybe I lucked out, I don't know), I was there right at shift change and didn't have too much time to spend, so I had to go before things started up again.

I arrived around 6pm. Creepy limpy guy that's mentioned in other reviews was working the door, but there was no cover. I walked across the club to the bar and got a Bud for $4.75 and left the quarter and an extra dollar tip for the bartender, who in classic strip club fashion was easily the cutest girl in the building. That $6 was my total expenditure for my visit.

The club is located on a kind of back street among some disused mall buildings and almost appears closed during the daytime, aside from a sandwich board sign they put out front. Parking is mostly on the other side of the building from the road and the area, in a major commercial district, isn't sketchy at all. I'd guess the building used to be a restaurant of some kind - it's kind of an octagon shape and due to that is a bit more interesting from the inside than a lot of places just because of the building, with its octagonal cathedral ceiling. Stage is right in front of you when you come in, with seating all around, and the bar on the far side. Off to the left of the bar is a door to a semi-enclosed smoking area, but you can't take a drink out there.
