Color Me Surprised!

OK, so it’s Jackson, MS. My expectations were somewhat tempered when I pulled up to the building, which isn’t in the greatest part of town - but what titty bar is? Anyway, I went in and past the front desk (no upfront cover til later in the evening - more on that later) and pulled open the double doors from lobby to club, and inside was a very nicely appointed main room, with a main stage in the middle of the room, and another, smaller stage to the rear. The bar is to the right (beer only), running almost the width of the room. As it was late afternoon (they open at 4:00 weekdays; 7:00 on Saturday; closed Sunday) so the number of dancers far outweighed the number of patrons.

The girls were dancing 2-song sets on the main stage only. Depending on the day, there’s a drink minimum. This day, it was 2 drinks. I paid $12, and that included my two Buds and some sort of cover charge. The girls working ranged from 5-8 in face looks and 6-8 in body looks. Nothing spectacular, but mostly solid on both fronts. They have two or three VIP rooms with love-seat-style sofas in a separate room. There’s not much privacy, but no one seemed to be watching either. VIP dances are hands on and YMMV will vary from upstairs only to upstairs and downstairs, with some stick shifting.

All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by Danny’s, and would return if I’m ever in Jackson again.
