Angels is worth another visit

I was in Battle Creek for a few days after Christmas (yeah, I know -- great timing) visiting family and got away one afternoon for a return visit to Angels, located on King Highway (M-96) in the eastern outskirts of Kalamazoo. Though not as enjoyable as a Friday night visit last July (see my review), the club was still a fun place to spend an hour or two on a dreary late-December afternoon in Michigan.

I arrived around 3pm, paid no cover, and took a seat by the stage. There were half a dozen dancers, all white and reasonably attractive, who mostly hung out with regulars, but during my hour and a half I managed to snag three of them for private dances. With the first one I checked out a VIP room, which featured beaded curtains on the door, a pole, a couch, and (unfortunately) a camera and cost $75 for 15 minutes. The price was OK, since we had time for four or five dances that would ordinarily cost $20 each, but the experience wasn't all that memorable. Then I did two dances with a second dancer and four with a third, who really tried to get me off but didn't quite succeed.

I found Angels to be attractively laid out and the dancers and staff to be friendly. I had a great time on my first visit in July and a pretty good time on this second visit, so I'm likely to return on future visits to the Battle Creek / Kalamazoo area. However, it won't draw my business away from Heartbeats in Battle Creek, which I have visited on five consecutive trips to Battle Creek and where I always have lots of fun!
