Holy Shit.

The first time I came into Atlanta a couple months ago, I had interest in this little club but didn’t have the chance to visit it, mainly because there were other clubs in town that held my interest a little higher. However, on this visit, it was the very first bar we decided to go to. My curiosity was peaked when I have been told that this was a place that you should visit at least once in your life, but probably no more than once (unless you’re just that happy about your first experience), and I could only imagine what I would see once I went in. DoctorEvil accompanied me to provide a shoulder to laugh or hide into during our stay.

By the time we found the venue, figuring out how to get inside was a little tricky. It was just around 8 or 8:30 at night, and there was a lot of construction taking place at the Clermont hotel. Even the walkway to come in was taped off, albeit poorly, but we figured to just walk passed the tape and down towards the construction. It was a little bit eerie that we had to walk through the construction site where there were no other people around, but we eventually saw signs that were pointing towards the entrance to the Clermont lounge, so thankfully we were going in the right direction. There was only one person outside of the door and he was talking on the phone and gave us no signs of interaction as we walked passed and inside the building.

Right at the door was the front desk where the doorman greeted us and asked to see our IDs. Surprisingly, he said that since business was very slow and they were a little short-handed on girls, as long as we tipped him, he was going to waive the usual $10 cover from us. What a friendly man. A couple of bills were placed in the jar and he happily let us in the bar.
